The Earthquake in China

The government finds out there are more than 760 people died in the earthquake in Jiegu until today and 243 people are missing. Also, more than 1174 are having severe injuries and more than 5000 have been treated and released form the hospital. There are more than 900 times aftershock. The bad thing is very hard to send what the poeple need to Jiegu because most of the roads can be use anymore..They don't have enough doctors and medical suppies there, but a lot of the doctor group are going to there or already there. Also, the government uses the the airplanes to delievr the things the people need such as medical suppies, water and food. However, there is one good things. The whole country got the experience form the Sichuan earthquake in 2008, so people and the government know how to deal with this earthquake the time. God bless them all....

Exercising

Summer is coming and it's time for me to exercise and that's why I like summer time because I can do some outdoors activities. I love outdoors activties. I remembered I used to play basketball with my friends at least two hours a day in outside, but I didn't play it very much when I come here. I didn't play basketball here because I don't have a lot of friends here and not all of my friends like basketball. Aslo, some of my friends do like basketball, but we lives far away form each other so we are not be able to play together.Anyway, I didn't do a lot of exercise since I was here, so I got fatter and fatter. Also, I feel easy to get tired now and I think I I don't have enough of exercisie so I decide to do more exercisie. Usually I will exercise at home because nobody go to the gym room with me and I dont want to go by myself. However, I have the a treadmill, a jump rope, a sti up bench and a weigh set...Also, I go to play basketball on Saturday or Sunday monring every week..

Basketball Does Effects Height

I just read one of Kay's blogs and she was talking about people height and she said the playing basketball does not help people go grow taller, but I disagree with that. I started to play basketball when I was 13 and my height grew form 5-45 to 5-8 in a year and half and now I'm 5-10.5. What I want to say it playing basketball does help people to grow taller, but not every one and even thought it help you, but not a lot. I read about that form some books, articles and news papers. Because I was very carzy about basketball before ( I still very like it, but just not as before when I started learn how to play it ) and I did a lot of reading about basketball. Also, I found of the some kinds of basketball's practices do help people grow up taller such as jumping. We do a lot of jumping during the basketball game or during the practice and that helps. Also. between 13-16 the is the best age for all the people to grow up. If the people who want to grow up taller they batter eat the nutrient food and eat on time everyday and sleep well. They have to play sports to such as basketball. Most of the people will grow their height untill 22-23 and after 23 most of the people will not grow anymore, but uauslly after 18 people's body will slow down of growing. Sports do help people grow taller in some ways, but it also base on what they eat and the environment around them when they are growing up. The major effect of people height is the gene(like DNA ) that they get from thire parents.

Singh

I met Singh today in the cmputer lab. He was one of my classmates in level three and I didn't see him since we finished level three. It's amazing that I just talked about him with Van in this morning and I met him in the afternoon. We have a experssion in Chinese “never talk about something bad behind a person" means uauslly when you talk about a person behind him he will show up and hear it. I was so happy to see him again and we talked for a while and he made me thought of the old day when we were in level three. We used to go out with our classmates together. .Also, I found out he is Swarnjeet brother while I was talking to him and I didn't know that before.

Four Great Classical Novels

I felt so broed during the work time in the compture in this afternoon (because today is not besy at all), so I went out of the lab and tried to find somethings to read in the bookshelf. I found some Chinese books in one of the bookshelfs and they all written in Chinese. That was surprised me beucase I never expect the college has Chinese books in the libaray.
I found three out of four of the Four Great Classical Novels in the bookshelf. "Journey to the West", "Dream of the Red Chabmer ", "Water Margin" and "Romance of the Kingdoms" are the four great classical novels in China. Every Chinese would hear or konw about the foure books even thought they don't read them. Three of them are in the libaray besides the "Water Margin".
I picked out the "Dream of the Red Chabmer" and tried to read it. I picked that book because I already know what's going on in the other three books, but not the "Dream of the Red Chabmer". However, I found there are so many words and expressions I didn't really understand in that book becuase it was written in 1784. There are a lot of old words and expression in the book that we don't use in nowadays, so I put it back.


( :( I use half hour to write this blog with three long paragraphs (longer than this one above), but when I finish and hit publish post and I dno't know what is wrong it can't be post. However, I go back to this pag and the paragraphs I just write is gone. I have to do it again :( )

An Old Friend

The friend went to the Auto show with me in yesterday is one of my old friends and we didn't see each other at least 7-8 years. He was one of my classmates in 7-9 grade and after 9 grade we went to different school. He comes to the U.S 7 months ago. He lived in another state before so we didn't have a chance to meet each other yet, but he moved to N.Y like 2 months ago. When I saw him yesterday I almost didn't recognize him, he change a lot. I didn't't konw how to describe the feel when I first saw him, it was kind of weird. Why was weird? Because I should konw him well enough as my old friend, but I also felt unfamiliar from him. Anyway, I was happy to meet him amd we had a good time together. We talked a lot about the past and that mede me remember a lot of the happy things and time that we had been go through.

Auto Show

I'm almost recover onw, but I'm so tired. I'm tired because I go to the auto show with my firend today and I walk for a few hours in the city. I should meet my firnd at 10:30 in the city buy we kind of lose and can't find each other. After walking 20minutes we find each other and then we go to the show. I went to the auto show three times already so that show isn't new for me.The reason why i go there this year is because I want to take my friend there(He never go there).The show is ok for me I see a lot of new car and take some pictures.All the pictures I take are sport car. I used to take a lot of picture, but not this year. I dont take the much picture in this year becuase my sister lost my camaera so I dont have camarea with me and I just take the pictures with my phone. There is one car that I really like it lexus LFA. LFA is a new car and it just hit the market and only 500 in the world. The company started to build that car since 2006 and it come out in this year.For me the LFA is so cool and hot.
