Last week in school

I was so happy in this week. First, we are almost finish the semester and we will have more than three month vacation. Second, we had a party on Tuesday and everybody brought their native country food to the party. Also, we dance there.. Third, I passed the wirting test. I didn't think I was good enough to pass that test but I did pass it. I will be happy even though I didn't pass the readind and listening test tomorrow. I knew my English skills was improve in that semester. Also, I did had good time with my classmate in that semester.

Mother's Day

Today is a day for the greatest person in the world "Mother". Mother's Day is a worldwide holiday, people will celebrate it with their mother all around the world. I want to take my mom to dinner tonight, but I can't because I have to work today. My sisters will take her to shopping today, and I will take her to dinner tomorrow. Happy mother's day mom!!! and happy mother's day all the mother in the world.

One More Week

One more week we are done for school. haha..I'm exciting about the summer now. I want to go somewhere in the summer but I don't now where I can go..I have few plans with my friends not we are not sure yet..Also, a lot of my friends ask me to go back to China, but it's to expensive to go back China. Anyway, I had a goal in the summer that I have to try one extreme sports(I don't know how to write the name haha).

Arrange Marriage

Since we are talking about marriage in the week, so I want to talk about arrange marriage here. My parents were arrange marriage and they had been married for 34 years. Every things for them were fine, and they didn't have a lot of problems. My older sister was arrange marriage too, but she ended it up divorce. I'm not saying arrange marriage is bad, but I don't think it's a good idea to find a spouse in that way too. At least I will not do that, I like to find my wife by myself...

Bad Weather

It was raining in the last two days and the news said it will be raining for whole week. I don't like raining especially raining for a long period of time. Raining for a long time make me feel depress, and I don't want to go out on a raining day, and I can't play sport in out side. I hate raining...Even snow is better than raining...

Korean Restaurant

I went to a Korean restaurant with Anna and her friend today.. I didn't know what should I order because the restaurant is new for me...And then the waitress asked us see if we want to try the "Seafood Pot" it's new, and then we said OK..That food looked very good and they put fishs,shrimps,and lobster.....But I like the Korean BBQ more..haha

Happy

I'm feeling good today. I gave my speech today, even though it's not perfect but it's acceptable. I was little nervous before I started my speech, but when I started it I was fine because when I was doing something about art I would forget everthing...But I still forgot something in the speech. One time I was drawing something but I wasn't finish, so I pushed it in my room on the floor and used new paper to cover it..I went to school the another and when I came home I wanted to finish it, but I couldn't find it...So, I asked my sisters did she saw anything on my room..And then she told me when she tried to clear my room she saw soem old new paper on the floor and she threw it away..I ran out of my house to look for the paper,but when I found the paper it akreadt wet.(Because it was raining on that day) I went home and told my sister never touch anything in my room again, never.

Speech

I'm practicing my speech in front of the mirroi because I have to give my speech tomorrow. Today Silvia and Ilonak gave a very good speech that bring me some pressure. My speech will about drawing, drawing is not my obsession I don't have to draw every day or every week. It kind of my passion, I draw when I want to draw. And sometime I will draw something for some specail reason such as some of my friend past a way..Here I will show some of my old drew and I will bring them to the class tomorrow...

Shoped In The Worng Store

I went to shopping with Anne yesterday. We used to shop in Abercrombie and yesterday too..
But I didn't know they has two stores one is for kids and another one is for adult. Everytime we went to there we was shopping in the adult side, but this time we went into the kids side and I didn't know.I was wondering why the size was so small whild we were shopping around there. I thought maybe I was too fat. And then I found a pants there and I like it, so I went to ask a man who was work there about the size. And then he told me I had to go to the next door if I wanted to buy my size that side only for kids...I felt embarrass that time, and then I told Anne to go to next door, she asked why? I told her we were shopping in the kids side and then we both laugh..

My childhood

The movie "Big" made me remember my childhood. I used to have a lot of toys when I was a kis. Where do I get those toys? Some of them was from my uncle, he is lives in Hong Kong. He brought me toys every time he came back to visit us in China. And some of the toys was frome my pearents. I remember one time I wanted my pearents to buy me a toy(I was around 7 ), but they said I had too much toys already so they didn't buy it for me. But I was stood in front of the store and cried, a lot of the people in the street was looking in me. And my pearents trued to pull me to another place.,so I lay on the street and continue to try...People were getting more and more because they wanted to know what happen there..Why a little boy would lay down on the street and cried..Finally my pearents bought me that toy I like and got out of there because they didn't want people stood there and looked at them...After that whatever toy I wanted to have my pearents would buy it for me...haha

Ache

I'm so tire and I feel my body is aching becuase I went to play basketball yesterday. Yesterday was a nine day, so I woke up early to play basketball(I used to sleep until 11:00 A.M on the weekend). I woke up like 8:00 A.M and went to play basketball, I was so tired after I play almost one hour. I didn't play for long time... I used to play basketball at least two hours a day when I was in China, but I didn't play the much when I come here..Because I didn't have friends to play with me, also I didn't have time to play..I felt my whole body is pain when I woke up in today mouring, and tired..

Police Department

Because I had an accident one week ago, so I have to go to the police department to pick up my accident report. And then sent it to my insurance company.I went to the police department on Friday. That my first time to go to the police department and I go by myself, I felt little nervous when I arrived there(haha). But everything was fine and I got my accident report.I have to full a up a form and sent it to my insurance company...

Muliticultural Fair

Today we went to a muliticultural fair in our school. In there I could see many difference club about difference country such as Art club, Africana Studies, and our LINCC display......Most of the club or display was relate to some muliticultural of soem country....Like our LINCC display was show soem special food of all difference country...The anime club was show was relate to Japan, anime was very popular in Japan...Also, people can go up and sing if they want.

First late

Today is the first day back to school from the Easter vacation, and I got my first lateness for the class in that semester.Just like every week I set up my alarm at 6:45AM before I sleep last night. I woke up at 6:45 at the morning, but I fell sleep again. Untill Marie called my at 7:30AM and I got up quickly. When I got to school it wsa 8:00 already so I got my first late of that semester today...

Easter

Today is Easter and it's one of the most important religious holiday for the Christian. Actually I didn't really know about Easter because I'm not a Christian. All I know about Easter is all Christian will go the the church on that day and Easter was about Jesus resyrrected from the dead three days after his crucifixion. Also, people not only celebrate Easter for one day.And Easter was more popular in the Western than in the Eastern.

Korean's BBQ

I went to a Korean's restaurant with my friends tonight. We ate Korean BBQ there and that food was great....I want to try Korean's BBQ in long time ago, but I didn't get a chance to try it. That my frist time to try it and I love it.That restaurant I went tonihgt was at 14864 Nothern Blvd, Flushing. If anyone want to try some new food they can go there.I like to try every counties food and next time I will go to a Japanese restaurant...

A bad day

I just had a car accident 2 hours ago.On the way to my doctor's office I hit a car. When I tried to turn left on Merrick Road I just felt my car lost of contorl and then I hit another car on the another side of the road. I didn't know why my car was lost of contorl at that moment, maybe becasue the rain. Soon the polices came and asked if anyone get hurt. And then the police ask my licence and the insurance card and asked me how that accident happen. After all of that the police told me to sit in the car and wait for them. I waited about half hour and the they gave me an accident report instructions so I free to go..I glad no body got hurt form that accident, because I know that my fault. And now I have to do so many paper work.

A Terrible Day

I just get off form work now and I feel very tire. I got a cold in last week and I had a strong headache at thit morning, so I didn't go to school. I want to make an appointment with my family doctor, but she has too many patients today. If I wnat to have an appointment with her I have to wait untill 5:00 PM, but I should go to work at that time. I called my boss and asked him see he can find a person to cover my position. But he said it's too late to find another people to cover me. So, I have to go to work. Ant the terrible things was I made few mistake in my work.Few customer called back to the restaurant and complain their order was missing something. So I get in terrible. I feel I getting little better now, also I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow afternoon. I hope I can recover soon. :(

April Fool's Day

Today is April frist and people call it "April Fool's Day".April frist is a holiday but it is differenc with other holidays. Becasue April fool's day is a day people can lie, and making jok with your friends.April Fool's Day started in England and Scotland and then introduced to the American. Now many counties had that holiday and most of the them celebrated. But it's more popular in the west than in the east.

A Drunk Woman

Last night a woman got drunks in the bar where I worked. She was sat in the bar for long time and she getting very drunk in that time. When was 11:00 PM she told other people who were sat at the on that time she is leaving. But the other were say can one of us drive she home or can one of your family's member come and take she home. Because at that moment she was getting very drunks they people wrew worry about her..And I don't konw she was too drunk or what, she started to argue with another woman. She was said soem bad words to the woman, and people thought she was too drunk and didn't talk back to her. But she was keep talking. At the same tiem another customer found out what was going on there, and she called the polices. One pliceman came and talked with the woman. In the end the drunk woman called one of her family's member come and get her...

Parts of Speech

We talked about "parts of speech" in the calss today. That not new for me, but I learn a lot from that. Before I didn't really know which word is noun, adjective, and adverb, and the difference between those words. When I was writing something I always sonfuse with the adjectives, adverbs, verbs and prepositions.That make my writing have many problems. But after today I think I will getting better.Because now I'm clear which parts of speech is noun, pronoun, adverb......

First Day

Today is the first day of the second half semester. Also it's the first day to work with our new teacher Elain. Elain is a great teacher, she have been teachering for the past 15 years and she is funny too. We didn't do a lot of things in class today, we just got to know a little about each other. Go over the rule of the class. But the fun things was, when Elain told us to wirte down some thing on a paper about a person in the same calss, but some people didn't even konw some classmate name. However, we did have a fun class today, and I hope we can having fun with Elain everyday, and learn things from her.

Homosexual

Last week our conversation lab was about homosexual, gay's marriege. During that conversation we talked about how peopel feel about gay people in differenc counties. And gay's marriege was legal or not. More of the counties gay's marriege was illegal, like China, Haiti,Brezil, Dominican Republic.... But in some country is legal. For example like German. Also, we talked U.S. should all the states pass the law allow gay's marriege. Some people in that class said it was OK, some of them said it was not Ok. Because some people worry about if the government pass that law, they will sent a wrong massage to the childen. The childen will think, the government allow gay's marriege, so it is ok to be gay...

Bend It Like Beckham

"Bend It Like Beckham" is about a India girl named Jess. She wanted to be a professional soccer player and she hope in one day she can play with David Beckham. But because her culturn, her parents dosen't want her to paly soccer anymore, they wanted her to become layer.So she had to made a decision, to do the things she like or listen to her parents. I think many people have that problem when they were, and me too. Children always have the arqument with their parents, what they want to do and what their parents want they do...

Daylight Saving Time

Tonight we have to adjust the clock forward one hour, we have to do that every years near the start of spring . And then in autumn we will adjusted the clock backward one hour. We did that,because in the summer's time the day' time is longer than the night's time, when we adjusted forward one hour so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. There is same and the winter time. Because in winter the night's time is longer than the day's time, so we have to adjust the clock backward one hour.

Gender

Do males better than females? Or females better than males? There is no exactly right answer of that, and I think males amd females are equal. But why do people come out a question like that. Because back to hundred years ago, males always had more power than females. But the whole world started to change, after WWII women standed out tries to get their right.Females tries to get a job, and not just stayed at home to be a housewife. Now a day many of females had a job and they worked well in their position. That proof females could do things like males.

Snow Day

Today is kind of boring day. Because the terrible weather, so our school was close. And all the roads were filling with snow, I didn't want to go anywhere. I think snow is nice, when I looked at outside in the morning everything were cover up by snow and everything were white. But the only thing I didn't like about snowing was, every time after snow I have to go to out side and clean up the sidewalk.....After that I will become very tired!!!

My car

The car I'm using now is my first car in my life. It's a 2004 Jeep, Libertyltd. And the color was blue. That car hd importanc meaning for me, because it was my first and I used my own money to buy it. When I was in China I never thought about I can have my own car in the young age, like me now.Is not easy to have a car in China.

Steep

Today we watched a movie name "Steep". It's about extreme skiing, when the extreme skiing became a sport. where did the skiers took places to skiing. Sometime I would like to watch extreme skiing in the TV, and I always thought they aswsome.But I didn't know it was so danger, they could die every moment while they did that.I like to skiing too, when I saw they did that I wanted to try it. But that will never become true, becuase I just a beginner of skiing. If one wants to become an extreme skier, they had to be very good with skiing.Also, that was a good movie, it let people know more about the extreme skiing and what the skiers feel about their sport.

Sports

That week our subject in class is about extremes sports. But today I don't want talk about extremes sports here. I want to talk about my favorite sport "Badketball", and how did badketball change me. When I was like 13 years old, my weihg was nearly 160 pound, everyone called my "fat boy". In that time I was quiet and shy. However, I was fat, tall and big in that time, so my gym teachter told me to join the badktball team and I did it. That cheaged me a lot. Because we had to practice vary hard in the team, and we palyed it under the sun 3-4 hours everyday. So, I was lost almost 25 pound in half year. Also, I started to talk more and got more friends. In the begining I just playing badketball for losing weith, but after I startrd to love it. Until now I still love it, even though I didn't play a lot now. Badketball chaged me and help me got more friends.........

President's Week

Today is the last day of the President't Week vacation. I went to my friend house for three days, we went to shopping and skiing. That is the second time I going to skiing, the first time I learned how to skiing, but that time I learned how to snowboard. Also, I like snowboarding more than skiing, because snowbarding is easier contorl than skiing. I plan to go to skiing or snowbarding every year. I love it.

Valentine's Day

Today is Valentine's Day, a day for love. Day is a holiday celebrated on every February 14 by many people throughout the world. In the West, it is the traditional day, and many people will sending valentine's card, flowers or chocolate to their lover, firends or family‘s member. Also, now in the East peopel start to celebrate that holiday too. But most of them were young people, they also sending gift to their lover or go out for a especial dinner.

Unlucky Numbers

Every counties have a number contain to bad luck, and every culture has a different number. In the U.S number 13 is contain to bad luck, and some poeple call today "Black Friday " because today is 13. I don't konw why this country 13 is the unlucky number, becuase I didn't born in here. But I do knew why number 4 contain to the unlucky number in China, because in Chinese number 4 is almost the same pronunciation with die. And that is why Chinese people didn't like 4.

Flushing

Because our teacher was sick today, so we didn't have class and I wish she feel batter tomorrom. And then Marie, Anne and I went to Flushing for breakfast. I took Marie to a Chinese restaurant, you can eat the same food like Chinese people eat in China. We order many different kind of food and asked Marie to try it. Some of that food she like it and some of them she doesn't like. Also, we teach her how to use chopsticks, and she was very good with it. And we went to shopping too.....

Want to lose weight

Now I think I getting fat and fat and my weight getting more and more too, I don't want to be like that. And when I was a little I was fat, all of my friends called me "fat boy", and I konw how a fat people feel. So, I don't want to be fat again. I asked one of my friend for a gym room address today, and I will to there tomorrom and join it. I think I getting fat because I didn't have enough exercise. However, I did a lot of exercise when I was in China, because I was in the basketball team in school, in that time I wasn't fat. But when I came here I didn't do a lot of exercise so I getting fat and fat. If I want to lose my weight I think exercise is the best way.....

Memorable Day

I worte about the happiest memorable day in my life on my journal today. So, I will kile to write about the saddest memorable day in my life here. July, 20, 2005, I will never forget that day in my whole life. It is a day I left the land I have been live for 18 years. It is a day I left all of my friends to come to the U.S. It's a day I separate with my lovely girlfriend. I had a party with my friends befor 7/20/2005, all of my friends came and said good-by to me and some girls are crring when the party almost end. It was a very sad night for me! And then I went to the airport with my sister and my girlfriend on the moring in 7/20/2005. When is time I have to go into the airplane I took a look of my girlfriend and I saw she is crying there. In that moment I couldn't say one word to her, I don't know what I should say to her, I just looking at her and she just looking at me. We didn't take to each and then I killed her and walk into the gate.

Snow

The weather is bad on yesterday, it snowing for all day. But that make me remember the first time I see snow, I remember it's a Sunday morning in 2006. When I was sleeping but my sister woke and tell me it's snowing outside, I was so excited on that moment because I never see snowing before. Because the city I lived when I was in China is at the South, the South of China never sowning. So I got up very fast and ran to outside with my sister, we threw snowball to each other, made a snowman and then we took picture with it that picture still in my photo book.

Fun time

Today is still in Chinese New Year, and if I'm in China I will have a lot of fun during New Year. But even I'm not in China that make me remember a lot of things. The thing I will do it ever years is playing basketball with my friends, because during the Chinese New Yeas to play basketball games are kind of recreational activities in the city I live. If a team can win all of that kind of basketball games they can get some money. My friends and I made a team to play, we're not thinking about to win all the game and get the money we just paly it for fun. Because we all love to play basketball......

Fun time

Advertising

In our calss we're taking about advertising in the past two days, and then we had a project about advertising. We separate for five group and each group had 3-4 people. Each group had to design their own product, logo, and advertising etc. And our group decided to do a sport drink name "Natureade", the selling point of our product is make by nature and more health. We drew a logo for it and made a advertising for it too.. I think our group did a grest job!! When all group are done each group have to go up and introduce their product to other group, but they have to make sure each member in the group has a chage to speak, because our teacher wants us to do a project like that is want us to speak with each other...I think it's fun and is a good idea to learn English in that way!!

Chinese New Year

Today is the most important day for the Chinese people, because it's Chinese New Year. Chinese people will celebrate that holiday all around the world. Chinese New Year a tradition holiday and based on the lunar calender, it always falls between January 20 and February 21. In that day most of the Chinese people will wear new shoes and new clothing, because the people believe the good luck will come with the new stuff and the bed luck will go away with the old stuff. And childern always receive red envelopes from their parents or other people who is married, people will put money into the red envelopes containing "locky money". In the New Year day people will eat lunch earlier and go out to the city or on the streets to see dragon and lion dances, or to meet their friends and whatever who the meet they will "kung hey fah choy" to each other,that means " I wish you can make a lot of money in the following year" . Also, people are allow to play fireworks during the New Year, and the sky will cover by the fireworks at the night.
